Connor Fais, PhD

I’m a psychologist based in central Ohio, where I was born and raised. I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2016 and became fully licensed in 2022. I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from West Virginia University and my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the University of Dayton. As part of my training, I completed a doctoral internship at Astor Services for Children & Families in Rhinebeck, NY.

My practice focuses primarily on supporting kids, teens, and families, though I also have experience working with adults and providing clinical supervision. I frequently help clients navigate challenges related to anger, anxiety, depression, family conflict, and ADHD/executive functioning. At COPBH, I offer focused ADHD evaluations for kids and teens ages 6 to 18, with a focus on providing personalized recommendations to support school success and help build executive functioning skills

In sessions, I use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, and communication skills training. I like to involve caregivers as much as possible, because I believe real change happens when the whole family is working together. I’m especially drawn to work that emphasizes transparency, collaboration, shared goals, and regular feedback because when therapy is a team effort, progress feels more meaningful and lasting.

What makes my work unique is how I tailor each approach to the individual child and family. I take time to understand what’s going on beneath the surface and work to create a space where people feel safe to be themselves. I care a lot about building shared understanding, supporting personal growth, and helping parents and kids feel empowered to meet challenges along the way. The goal isn’t just to feel better now, it’s to build tools for long-term success.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me spending time with family, playing video games, or hanging out with my two cats.
